Art
Diana Brook
Diana has vast experience as a Head of Art and Assistant Headteacher at Sir Thomas Picton School. She is WJEC moderator for GCSE and A-Level Art. She is also involved in local arts projects and initiatives, and during lockdown became nationally-recognised for her charitable work as Narberth’s ‘Rainbow Fairy’.
Biology
Wayne Phillips
Wayne is a highly experienced Biology teacher who has been both Assistant Headteacher, and leader of Science with a Biology specialism at Sir Thomas Picton School. Wayne is responsible for staff development and training at Redhill.
Chemistry/ Physics
Meg Hollinger
Meg previously taught Science at Cwmtawe School in Neath Port Talbot and worked for some years at Acland Burghley School in Camden, London where she was a leader for Science. Meg is a WJEC Team Leader for GCSE Chemistry, and also delivers Psychology and Physics at Redhill High. She is Progress Leader for our Sixth Form.
Computer Science/ French
Daniel Esteve
Daniel has great experience as both a teacher, school manager and educational adviser, teaching a range of subjects including Computer Science and ICT. Originally from Nantes, France, Daniel teaches Modern Foreign Languages and also Psychology and Sociology. Daniel has also worked for Ofsted and Estyn.
Drama
Sian Selby
Sian was Head of Drama at St. Michael’s School, and taught English at Olchfa School in Swansea, as well as various international schools. She was also a Housemistress at Badminton School in Bristol and is the talented writer of our school productions.
English
Christina Morgan
Christina has taught at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi and Pembrokeshire College. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Cardiff University and is a WJEC GCSE examiner for English Literature. Christina is Progress Leader for the Lower School with an emphasis on transition.
French/ Spanish
Marta Valavazquez
Marta is a Spanish native who has also lived and worked in France. She taught for some years at a local independent school and Pembrokeshire College, and has also worked at Aberystwyth University as a translator. Marta is a GCSE Spanish examiner.
Chemistry/ PSHE
Helen Disney
Helen is an experienced Chemistry and PSHE teacher.
She has the uncanny ability to bring chemistry to life by linking it to daily life.
Maths
Helen Hicks
Having taught Maths and Science for many years in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire and coupled with her experience as a Numeracy Coordinator, Helen aims to demystify Maths and make it accessible and enjoyable for all.
She is currently an Examiner for both WJEC and Edexcel GCSE Maths and an AQA Team Leader for GCSE Chemistry.
In her spare time Helen enjoys busying herself on her smallholding, walking her dogs and then curling up with a good book!
Music
Phil Orrin
Phil has been Deputy Warden at Llandovery College and also Director of Music there. He was previously Head of Music at Bishopston and Penyrheol Schools in Swansea, and is currently Musical Director of Mumbles A Cappella choirs, Assistant MD of Valley Rock Voices in Neath and Llanelli and Choirmaster/organist at St Peter’s Church in Mumbles, Swansea. Phil takes GCSE and A Level Music.
Music
Adam Gilbert
Adam has an extensive background as a singer and singing teacher. He has worked for the Glyndebourne Opera, appeared at Wexford Festival Opera and performed for Opra Cymru at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. He has been part of the Scottish National Opera and the International Musical Eisteddfod, performing as a baritone. Adam teaches Lower School Music.
PE
Anna Rue
Prior to relocating to her home county of Pembrokeshire, Anna taught PE at Pencoed School, Bridgend, and Bishop Gore School and Pontarddulais Schools in Swansea. She has extensive coaching experience and is a Duke of Edinburgh leader.
RE/ Philosophy
Emily Hopfinger
Emily studied religious studies at university and specialised in philosophical theology and reception of the Bible.
She is keen on long distance walking/camping and loves gardening.
