At Redhill High School, pastoral care lies at the heart of everything we do. We believe that a child’s wellbeing is the foundation for their academic success and personal growth. Our approach ensures that every pupil is known as an individual — their strengths recognised, their challenges supported, and their achievements celebrated.
Pastoral provision is led by Assistant Headteacher Christina Rees, whose experience, warmth and professionalism ensure that every child feels secure and encouraged from the moment they join us. Mrs Rees also serves as the Year 7 Form Tutor every year, providing continuity and reassurance for pupils making the important transition from primary to secondary school. Her role helps each new student to settle quickly, build confidence, and feel part of the Redhill community from day one.
Our Form Tutor system is central to the life of the school. Each student belongs to a tutor group, led by a dedicated member of staff who offers daily support, guidance, and encouragement. Tutors monitor both academic progress and personal wellbeing, working closely with parents and teachers to ensure that no child is ever overlooked.
Together, this network of care creates a nurturing environment where pupils thrive — confident, compassionate, and ready to take on new challenges with courage and kindness.
